OUR BELIEFS
Brownsville Baptist Church is a congregation with a rich local history dating back to 1825. Building on a more recent tradition of long-serving pastors, we seek to continually find fresh ways to share the love of Jesus with those around us.
We have always been a church dedicated to Missions. The Lottie Moon Christmas offering for foreign missions is a highlight of the holiday season each year, and members of our congregation have traveled the globe to carry the Good News of Christ to those who need to hear. Throughout the decades, Brownsville Baptist has underwritten the formation of local mission churches which have grown into flourishing congregations in their own right. As a member of the Southern Baptist and Tennessee Baptist Conventions, Brownsville Baptist believes in the Cooperative Program and makes supporting it a priority.
Whether in the continuing excellence of our long-standing Music and Drama ministry, or new ventures such as the formation of our contemporary Connection service in 2015, we seek to honor Jesus and make disciples in His name.
