Recovery Of Life

Our goal is to empower clients to take charge of their own mental health. We see ourselves as guides and fellow travelers on the path to recovery from the various problems that interfere with our serenity. We have extensive experience counseling clients with anxiety, depression, marriage and relationship issues, substance use disorders, stage of life transitions and many other mental health challenges. Our staff is qualified to counsel children, teenagers, and adults and we encourage you to reach out and contact us today to begin your journey of healing.

Jenna Britt PhD, LPC/MHSP

Owner/ Clinical director

Dr. Britt started as a therapist in 2003, has been licensed as an LPC/MHSP in the state of TN since 2008, and recently finished her PhD in Psychology. She approaches counseling from a solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral background blended with family systems theory. “Every client who walks in the door has walked a unique path in life and has a unique story to share with the world. As a clinical therapist, I collaborate with clients to reach the goals that are most important to them and to do so in a way that increases their self-respect and confidence.” Her goal is to help clients process life’s struggles in a meaningful way and gain coping skills they can use in a variety of situations.

Dr. Britt has been married for 20 years. She and her husband, Bryan, have two adolescent children. The family has faced significant challenges over the past 10 years due to a central nervous system disorder that Bryan has, and they credit the Lord for the peace they experience and for faithfully carrying them each step of the way. Dr. Britt is happy to be back in practice after taking a few years away from the clinical realm. She considers it a great privilege to get to do this work and is committed to providing clients the highest level of care with the best research-backed treatment methods available. She is also trained in EMDR as a specialized mode of trauma therapy and also for helping those who suffer from anxiety and depression.

Marci Weaver, LCSW

Clinical Therapist

Marci Weaver holds a masters of social work and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee. Throughout her years of experience, she has worked in the fields of foster care and adoption, addiction and recovery, and outpatient counseling. Marci desires to empower her clients to recognize their God-given strengths and encourage them to have compassion for themselves and others. She has experience treating clients of all ages; and her primary areas of expertise include treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, mood disorders, and trauma. Marci is trained in EMDR, which is most commonly used to treat trauma or other ongoing issues that do not respond to traditional therapy methods. She also has a special interest in working with children and teenagers and uses experiential therapy techniques with this population to help them with the unique challenges they face.

Marci has worked in mental health for the past nine years in Huntsville, AL; Searcy, AR; and most recently in Nashville, Tennessee.

Luke Guard, MS

Clinical Therapist

Luke Guard holds a masters of science in clinical mental health counseling and is working towards licensure in the state of TN as a licensed professional counselor (LPC). He has worked in both intensive-outpatient settings and private practices and has experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. Luke desires to meet clients where they are and walk with them through the counseling process. He takes an integrative and holistic approach that highly values the client-counselor relationship and acknowledges each client’s unique cognitive, emotional, physical, behavioral, relational, and spiritual needs. 

Luke works with adults, adolescents, and children (age 7+) and sees clients dealing with ADD, AD/HD, addictions, depression, family concerns, grief & loss, relationship issues, stress & anxiety, and transitional issues. He sees clients here at Recovery of Life and at his office in Memphis. 

Luke and his wife, Ashton, have been married for six years and have one active toddler named Hudson and one confused cat named Marley. They live in Memphis. 

Micah Loyd, LPC/MHSP (temp), NCC

Clinical Therapist

Micah Loyd holds a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She currently has her temporary LPC license in the state of TN while completing her supervision hours. She has experience in both private practice and residential treatment. Micah has worked closely with those dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, marriage counseling, and relationship issues. She loves hearing her client’s unique story and walking with them through whatever life brings their way. Micah desires to help her clients get out of survival mode by opening their hearts and learning more of who they are so they can live life fully they way God made them. 

Micah sees clients here at Recovery of Life and at her office in Memphis. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, for 10 years. They have 3 children, a dog named Macey, and love doing anything outdoors together.

Tavia Carlucci, MA

Clinical Therapist

Tavia holds a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She is currently working to complete her TN licensure requirements as an LPC. During the last 3 years, Tavia has worked closely with the middle and high school girls in the youth group where her husband, Adam, is employed. She currently sees female clients of all ages. 

Tavia and Adam have been married almost nine years and have 3 children. They have been in Jackson for the past 6 years. In addition to working at Recovery of Life, Tavia stays at home with her children. 

Mark Finton, PhD, LMFT

Clinical Therapist

Dr. Mark Finton has been licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy in Tennessee since 2001. He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. Mark has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University, a Masters degree in Psychology from Abilene Christian University, and a Ph.D in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana – Monroe. He specializes in marital and family issues but also sees individual clients for a variety of issues. Dr. Finton has been married for 24 years to his beautiful wife, Stephanie, and currently resides in Trenton. They have two children, Parker, who is a freshman in college, and Kinlee, a junior in high school.
